FIELD TRIAL RESULTS 2022
(LINKS TO RESULTS FROM 2011 ARE are at the bottom of the page)

Our sincere thanks go out to our landowners and game keepers who allow us to hold our trials on their grounds.  Without such generosity, these events could not go ahead and is greatly appreciated and never taken for granted.
Thanks to our judges who have given up their time to ensure the trials go ahead and to our sponsors Skinners Petfoods for their ongoing support.
Help from
committee and non-committee members to game carry, dog steward etc., is greatly appreciated.

Our first trial of the 2022 season took part at the impressive Bolton Abbey, by very kind permission of the Duke and Duchess Of Devonshire.  This was our second visit to the ground and we were honoured to be invited back.

inal trial of the season (14 Dog All Aged Retriever Stake at Eggleston Fell,) was held on t
he superb ground provided by kind permission of Mr Michael Stone and his Head Keeper Mr Robert Beadle, which retained its reputation of an exceptional trialling ground.

Robert Beadle and his Estate guns didn’t miss a shot; and as always were outstanding, providing us with a plentiful and varied selection of grouse, rabbit, snipe, pheasant in the br
ight sunny Durham countryside.

Many thanks go to our judges, Mr Mark Demaine, Mr Lee Hartis, Mr Steven McDermott and Mr Stewart North who ensured the trial ran smoothly and provided us with a fair result.

Sincere thanks to our fabulous team of helpers today who have carried game, carried our defibrillator, sorted the raffle, catered, stewarded and carried flag and attended our trials this year. We hope you enjoyed it and gained a lot of experience. Our volunteers came from committee and non-committee members, with special mention to Joanne Wilson, Jeff Smart, Michelle Olds and Julie Smart who have worked tirelessly all season and provided such valuable help.

Skinners Dog Food Vouchers were provided to award winners and their generosity for our working events is unstinting and gratefully received. Also thanks to our working event sponsors Gundog Gear.

We also would like to congratulate Ms Fiona Maclean on attaining her Show Gundog Working Certificate during the course of the trial with her Labrador Dog, AFINMORE AZUFRAL.

Our 2018 trials are now complete and we thank everyone for their continued support, ensuring our trials have been well attended and draws over-subscribed. We feel this is in no small part due to the exceptional grounds we are given permission to use and our thanks go to all landowners concerned and their game keeping teams.
